Slab paving driveways

Paved driveways are a standard sight. Many people choose to use slab paving to create their driveway due to wide selection of materials, shades and sizes available. Slab paving is usually crafted from natural rocks, like sandstone or limestone, or concrete. These stones vary in color and appearance; sandstone is usually fairly light, whereas limestone is generally darker. Over time, natural stone will get darker, whereas concrete usually gets lighter. Cement can be dyed, however, so if you want an obscure shade you might be able to obtain it in concrete. Slab paving will come in several different sizes. You can use paving slabs that are the same size, or cover your driveway with different sized slabs. Large driveways usually look better with bigger paving slabs, while smaller slabs suit smaller driveways. Slab paving can frequently be custom-made to get the perfect size slabs for your driveway. It’s important to utilize paving slabs that are ideal for your driveway. If you’re more likely to frequently have heavy vehicles on your driveway it’s best to use paving slabs that are relatively thick and small. This is because thinner, larger slabs are more likely to break under pressure.
