Slab paving driveways

Paved driveways are a typical sight. Many people choose to use slab paving to create their driveway because of the wide selection of materials, colors and sizes available. Slab paving is usually crafted from natural stones, like sandstone or limestone, or concrete. These rocks vary in colour and appearance; sandstone is usually fairly light, whereas limestone is generally darker. Over time, natural stone tends to get darker, whereas concrete usually gets lighter. Cement can be dyed, however, so if you want an obscure colour you might be able to obtain it in concrete. Slab paving comes in lots of different sizes. You should use paving slabs that are all the same size, or cover your driveway with different measured slabs. Large driveways usually look better with greater paving slabs, while smaller slabs suit smaller driveways. Slab paving can often be custom-made to get the perfect measured slabs for your driveway. It’s important to work with paving slabs that are suitable for your driveway. If you’re more likely to frequently have heavy vehicles on your driveway it’s better to use paving slabs that are relatively thick and small. It is because thinner, much larger slabs are more likely to break under great pressure.
